2. Add stitching by stamping the stitched stamp in Cocoa ink around the edges of the card. Hint: cover each end with scrap paper to make the stitching not go off the edge of the card since the stamp is longer than the card. This trick is called “Masking.”
3. Distress the edges by rolling and crinkling up the edges of the papers with your fingers. There is no wrong way to do it. Just makes tiny rolls and crinkle or bend the edges.
4. Stamp the saying in Cocoa ink on a piece of Colonial White cardstock. Use the black stubble tool to swipe Cocoa ink on the edges. Mount on Cocoa cardstock and crinkle distress the edges. Add to the top right of the card.

Lucky Stars Criss-Cross Card
Criss-Cross cards are a fun alternative to your traditional cards that open with a basic flap. And they are not hard to make! Here’s how:
Supplies:
2 – 4 ¼ x 11” pieces of cardstock for base
1 or 2 – 4 ¼ x 5 1/2” pieces of B&T paper (different/contrasting colors)
1 – 3 ¾ x 5” piece of cardstock for insert
Ink
Stamps
Adhesive
Corner Rounder
Embellishments
How to Build the Card:
1. Score both 4 ¼ x 11” pieces of cardstock at 5 ½”.
2. Make a diagonal cut from top of scored area to bottom of edge on each of the pieces.

3. Overlap the 2 pieces of cardstock with triangle sides to the outside.

4. Using adhesive (double sided tape or glue) stick rectangle pieces together.
5. Cut the 4 ¼ x 5 ½ ” B&T paper diagonally (corner to corner) You will have a triangle left over for another project.
6. Adhere the triangle B&T paper to the outside of one the triangular flaps.
7. Open up triangular flaps – place thin double sided tape or memories glue on bottom edge of center and triangle flaps
8. Fold one flap into center and them fold in the other one

How to Make the Insert:
1. Take the 3 ¾ x 5” piece of cardstock and stamp/decorate as desired. On this sample, I sponged the edges with ink. You can also make a smaller insert and layer it. You can also make a tab on the top to pull it out with. Get creative!
2. Stamp or write on the insert. These cards make perfect party invitations, baby announcements, or notecards!

Boom-Di-Ada Card 2
Boom-Di-Ada Card
All Boy Layout
Supplies:
Guy Thing paper packet
Cocoa ink pad
Pewter My Accents
Hemp
Coluzzle circle template, knife and mat
Directions:
- Use the Dynamic Design layout on pages 116 & 117 of Cherish. Cut the papers as follows:
- Cardstock 1 = Barn Red cardstock (use coluzzle to cut the circles)
- Cardstock 2 = Desert Sand cardstock (use coluzzle to cut the circles)
- Cardstock 3 = New England Ivy Cardstock (use coluzzle to cut the circles)
- Cardstock 4 = Polka Dot paper (center the circles over the dots on the paper)
- Distress all pieces with Cocoa ink.
- Layout pieces as shown in Cherish book.
- Embellish the layouts as follows:
- Cut out desired sayings from the tile paper. Attach 3 of the circle sayings on the circles on the right page. I added a little green mount to the word “special” to make it appear larger. Also add desired tiles to the journaling block on the left page, making them look like a mosaic.
- Tie hemp around the top of your 5×7 photo on the left page. Tie a spiral clip onto the hemp to hang from the knot.
- Use a paper piercer to poke a hole where each of the thin strips on the left page meet the block on the left. Now, thread hemp through a large spiral clip and in through the holes to go around the paper, looping it back on the right side to attach to the other side of the spiral clip, thus suspending it in the middle. Tie the hemp on the back of the layout (you may want to anchor it to the back of the page so that it does not move as you slide the layout in your sheet protector.
- Attach 3 conchos in the middle of each circle on the right page. Add a small brad in the middle of the concho. Add other brads and spiral clips as desired.
- You may stamp words on the circles that surround the focal point photo using this month’s stamp of the month if desired.
