Supplies:

Cherish the Moment (May stamp of the month)
Cherry-O Paper packet
Winter Cozy Textured cardstock
Tulip & Chocolate inks
Tulip Mini-medley Accents collection
Red & Pink Assortment Embroidery Floss
Sanding kit

Directions:

1.    This card layout is from our cardmaking book called “Wishes.” The finished card is 3 x 4 ¾”. Cover the card front with striped paper. Sponge chocolate ink on the edges if desired. Also sponge a 3 ½” x 1 ¾” piece of cherry paper with Chocolate ink.

2.    Cut a ½” x 4″ and a 2 ¼” x 1 ½” piece of Sweet leaf textured cardstock. Sand to distress it.

3.    Stamp desired icon from Cherish the Moment stamp set in Tulip ink on a spare piece of cardstock. Put a brad through the event the card is for…birthday, anniversary, holiday etc. Mount on the larger Sweet Leaf cardstock piece. Wrap Tulip embroidery floss around the bottom of the piece and tie a knot.

4.    Now to assemble! Just attach the pieces as shown in the picture. Add two brads to the top of the Sweet Leaf piece and you are done!

My Creations Journal

Directions:

I love these new bound journals! They are so cute and easy to make. I made this one for a dear friend’s birthday recently. Here’s how:

1.    Take a 5×7 piece of floral paper and 3 x 5 piece of striped paper and sponge the edges with Juniper ink. Attach the striped paper to the center of the floral piece. Wrap a piece of the wide Crème Brulee ribbon around the lower edge of the striped piece.

2.    Now for the stamping! Stamp your desired definition on a piece of Vanilla cream cardstock in Juniper ink. I love this stamp set because the different definitions are all so beautiful. Mount on Olive cardstock and then again on Juniper cardstock. I made the Juniper matt wider than the Olive the matt. Attach on near the top right of the page. You can add 2 brads along one side if desired.

3.    Take your White Daisy paper flower and sponge Juniper ink on the tips of the petals. Attach to the lower left side of the paper using one of the beautiful Filligree Charms. Now slide the decorated piece into the plastic sleeve on the front cover.

4.    For a finishing touch, add knots of Crème brulee ribbon. You’re done!

Ghiradelli Treat Box

Here is a fun project perfect for Valentine’s day or any other special occasion!

topstitch-treatboxtopstitch-treatbox2

Supplies:

3 11/16 x 8 ½ piece of cardstock for box base

2 ½ x 2 ½ piece of cardstock (2 – 1 for lid and 1 for base)

2 5/16 x 2 5/16 piece of patterned paper

7 ½ x 5/8 strip of cardstock

Directions:

Score the cardstock box base on the long side at 2”, 4” and 8”. Turn 90 degrees and score the other way at 2” and 3”. Cut out the pieces marked with an X in the diagram. Cut along the 3 short score lines at the bottom (just until the next score line).

Now, fold along score lines. To assemble the box, glue the small tabs together. If desired, cut notches out of the corners of the 2 square base and lid pieces, plus the patterned paper. Attach the patterned paper to one lid piece. Now glue the lid to the top flap of the box. Glue the base piece to the bottom of the box.

For the strap that holds the box closed, score the long strip of cardstock at 1 ½”, 2 ½”, 5”, and 6”. Decorate strip as desired. Glue ends together and slide over box. I added a decorative flower to the top of the strip, but you can decorate it however you wish! This box will hold 3-4 Ghiradelli chocolate squares.
