Daydream Layout

Supplies:

Daydream paper packet
Connections stamp set
Priceless Love stamp set
Rustic Alphabet stamp set
Color Ready alphabet
Hollyhock ink pad
Pewter brads
Dry embossing stylus
Sanding kit

Tips:

Dry emboss a border on your photo or journaling mats! Look closely and you’ll see the large photo mats and the journaling block have a dry embossed border around each of them to make the pop! Here’s how:

  1. Open your paper trimmer and lay the paper in your trimmer at the 1/2″ mark.
  2. Drag an embossing stylus in the groove of the paper trimmer where your blade normally cuts.
  3. Rotate your paper 90 degrees and repeat. Continue on all sides.
  4. Using a sanding block, lightly sand the embossed lines. This makes them pop out even more. That’s all there is to it!

Unforgettable Layout

Supplies:

Unforgettable Paper Packet
Unforgettable Stickease
Cherish book
Pewter Brads
Pewter Foundry Bookplates
Dimensional Elements Perennials
3-D foam squares
Sponge
Cocoa ink

Directions:

This layout was made using the “Creative Rhythm” layout in the layout guide book Cherish. Just follow the cutting directions and assemble the layout!

To embellish the layout, I sponged Cocoa ink lightly around the flowers. Then I lifted my flowers up with foam squares after putting 1 or 3 brads in their center. Cover the dimensional element swirls and 2 flowers with pink pattern paper. Sponge the edges with Cocoa ink. Add stickers and a Foundry Bookplate as shown in the picture. That’s it! Fast and easy.

Aspen Card Collection

Supplies:

Aspen Paper packet
Feathery Flakes stamp set
Twilight ink pad
Twill ribbon
Winter Cozy mini-medley collection

To re-create the cards shown here, follow these helpful hints and the Pretty Simple™ pattern as outlined on page 116 of our how-to book Originals Card Confidence Program.™

Note: Save all the portions of the cut paper until you have finished all of the cutting.

Directions:

  1. Cut 5 sheets of cardstock and 3 sheets of B&T Duos™ paper as follows:

a. Trim 3 1/2” from one side of the 12” x 12” paper, creating 12” x 8 1/2” pieces.

b. Trim 1” from one 8 1/2” side of each of the 12” x 8 1/2” papers, creating eight 11” x 8 1/2” pieces.

2. Cut all eight 11” x 8 1/2” pieces in half, creating sixteen 5 1/2” x 8 1/2” pieces.

3. Fold the ten 5 1/2” x 8 1/2” pieces of cardstock in half, creating ten 5 1/2” x 4 1/4” card bases. Set aside.

4. Cut five of 5 1/2” x 8 1/2” pieces of B&T paper in half, creating ten 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” pieces. Set aside.

5. Choose three of the darkest 12” x 3 1/2” cardstock pieces and three 12” x 3 1/2” pieces of B&T paper; cut as follows:

a. Trim 1 1/2” from one 12” edge, creating six 12” x 2” pieces.

b. Cut each 12” x 2” piece into two 2” x 4 1/4” pieces and two 2” x 1 1/4” pieces, creating a total of twelve 2” x 4 1/4” pieces and twelve 2” x 1 1/4” pieces. (*You will have two of each size as scrap.) Set aside.

6. Cut the remaining two 12” x 3 1/2” cardstock pieces as follows:

a. Trim 2 1/2” from one 12” edge, creating two 12” x 1” pieces.

b. Cut each strip into 1” x 1 3/4” pieces, creating a total of ten pieces. Set aside. Note: this piece is not part of the Pretty Simple pattern in Originals. When assembling your cards, attach this piece to the center of piece C of the pattern.

7. Cut the two 12” x 2 1/2” cardstock pieces as follows:

a. Trim 1/2” from one long edge, creating two 12” x 2” pieces.

b. Cut each strip into 2” x 2” pieces, creating a total of ten pieces. Set aside.

Stamp snowflakes on the 2×2’ pieces in Twilight ink. Stamp the saying “Let It Snow” in Twilight on the 1 x 1 ¾” pieces.

Attach card pieces together as shown in Originals, adding accents as desired. Mix and match the papers as you like. It’s fun making each card unique just by swapping the papers around! Happy stamping!

Tie ribbon around the center of the card front. Add a little tag with “O Christmas Tree” stamped in Cranberry ink.

2. On a piece of New England Ivy cardstock, stamp the tree with New England ivy ink. Cut out. Attach tree to  square of Colonial White cardstock, matted with Cocoa cardstock.
